Sambal okra with sotong



Ingredients

2 sotong, cut into rings
15 lady fingers, sliced
1 tomato, cut into wedges

Seasoning
1 tbsp sambal belachan
1 tbsp assam paste, mix with 1/2 bowl of water (discard the seeds)
1 tsp sugar
pinch of salt

1. Remove soft bones and clean sotong thoroughly. Cut sotong into rings.
2. Heat up oil in a wok. Stir fry sambal belachan until fragrant.
3. Add in okra and tomato, stir fry for 5mins or til almost cooked.
4. Add in sotong, assam water, sugar and salt.
5. Stir fry for 1-2 mins or until cooked.
6. Dish up and serve.

* Can substitute sotong with prawns.
